KOPINT-TARKI Zrt. is a research institute known for its short-term and medium-term world-economic and macroeconomic analyses concerning the Hungarian economy, the new EU member states, as well as the countries of southeastern Europe. The Institute's research team has sprung from KOPINT-DATORG on March 1, 2007 and continues its same high-level analysis and research work that has become a trademark for decades (since 1964), except from this juncture on, under the umbrella of a privately-owned organization. The newly structured institute continues to publish all of its formerly known publications in an unchanged format with the same content.
Below, we would like to introduce our special KOPINT-TARKI publication package, which includes all of our regular publications at a reduced price. In addition, the subscriber can gain a comprehensive and regular insight into the workings of the Hungarian economy, its international standing, as well as its short-term and medium-term opportunities vis-a-vis the international economic, trade and financial setting.

What the special package includes:

Economic development report

Current state and future prospects of the global economy with special attention to the Hungarian economy A brief look at the world economy, the Hungarian economy, as well as the economies of the central and eastern europan countries, a short-term forecast (for the current calendar year and the upcoming year) with text, tables, and charts. This publication gets published four times a year, and it is approximately 90 pages long. Some of the more important statistics include: GDP, consumption, investment, and foreign trade statistics, labor market, wage and income indicators, production and price indexes, interest rates, exchange rates, as well as macroeconomic indicators (budget deficits, balance of payment statistics).

Medium-term macroeconomic forecast (EcoTrend)

This useful publication sheds light on the most important economic indicators typically influencing the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in the medium-term (GDP, inflation, exhange rates, interest rates, wages, consumption, investment, employment and unemployment figures, and macroeconomic indicators). These forecasts are slated for a four-year period. EcoTrend is published 3 times a year. Economic trends in Eastern Europe

This English-language publication is put together 3 times annually, analyzing the main economic trends in Hungary, and the other Central and Eastern European countries with a short-term forecast included at the end. Its length: 50 or 60 pages. The target areas of analysis and the main indicators closely follow the economic development reports (otherwise labeled as konjunktura reports).

Company performance profiles

4 times a year, we publish special surveys identifying strength and weaknesses of companies active in the manufacturing industry segment, using questionnaires. The questions intend to cover the economic health of the firm, production and capacity portfolio, inventory, employment and investment statistics with an appropriate short-term forecast at the end.
